Buyer beware!! This merchant will only be good if there is no problem with the order. They are liers. They promised full refund including return shipping, and lured me to send a DOA back to them at my own cost. Later, they charge me 15% restocking fee for the DOA, they didn't even refund the order shipping charge, not to mention the promised return shipping. Called them and they said this is their policy. I mentioned their previous email on the promised full refund. They denied. Lier!!!!!! |

I was overcharged for shipping and Directron refused a refund claiming that I had no proof they overcharged. They're right, I don't. I made the order over the phone and it was a verbal exchange. Got me on a technicality. Not good business. That makes my experiences with that company exactly 50-50. I had one good one and one bad one. Beware of this company...they bait and switch pricing and customer service is pretty indifferent once the product leavs their hands. Two big thumbs down! |

The floppy drive was defective . I sent you an e-mail for an rma and never even received a reply! I will never purchase anything from you again! Very dissatisfied with this purchase, will most likely be my last. I have purchased several times from Directron, this is the worst of my experiences by far. The product quality was poor, the info on the product was poor. Now that I have to return a useless product, I will also most likely have to pay a 15% restocking fee and shipping to return it. Nice, I will have about $20 invested in a product that is useless to me that I have to return. I think they knew this item was a poor quality. |

I ordered laptop memory, apparantly not compatitble even though the online specs said it would be. Returning parts is a terrible process, not user friendly, the worse I have expiranced, very bad website for returning items, no way to look up an order, poorly done, possible done on purpose to discourage returns. Spoke to customer service, no help there either, can't return a part except online, very long process, I'm not sure I ever would want to go through it again! |

An order for a printer was placed with Directron on Feb. 3, 2006; my credit card was subsequently charged. I never received the printer, and have written Directron's customer service many times with no reply. I have also posted a request on their WEB site and no respose. Do these guys really exist? Do not buy from this store. |

The site required phone verification for my order, which was shipping to a different address than the credit card billing address. I was rudely and with suspicion by the customer service department. They required personal verification from the billing address contact, and took almost no initiative to obtain that verification themselves. I had to call customer service 5 times just to get them to tell me what was necessary to process the order. I cannot recommend this site's customer service. |

I performed a search for a RAID enclosure on Pricegrabber - found the best price with shipping, problem was, the shipping quoted was $8.25, but when I went to check out they had charged me $10.71 (not a big deal, but misleading nonetheless). I complained on the PO notes and they correctly charged me $8.25, HOWEVER, the product I ordered had loads of parts missing. Oh, and good luck requesting the missing parts, it's a lesson in patience that would test a saint- 1st you have to register for their website, fill out loads of forms, place a "dummy" order for the parts missing, re-fill out your delivery details - what a nightmare. Wished I'd spent the extra $4 and bought elsewhere. |

I still do Not have item . Order sat there two days before responding to my email. Then was lied to that they tried to contact me via email. I will never do business the Directron again. Six days into order and item had not been debted from my MasterCard which means it still has not been shipped. They need help on processing an order. As of nine days it will be my intension to return the item at their expense and order it from Mwave since they know how to process an order for an instock it |

Their website claimed that all three items were in stock, but 24 hours after placing the order they emailed me and said that one of the items was on backorder and that they were going to hold the entire order until they could ship it all at once. |

I found directron through a search from pricegrabber. Directron sent me an email one week after the transaction indicating that the item purchased was out of stock, with no expected shipping date, and providing immediate contact information OR that the completed transaction would be reversed in 7 days. They sold me something that they did not have - they are holding my money for two weeks. They need to keep their site better up-to-date. |

(Edited November 03rd by michaelort) After not receiving the order, or any email from Directron for a full week, and the storefront not displaying any details for my order number, I called customer service (long distance - short hours) to find out that the item is out of stock and that they had no information as to when it would be available. This did NOT prevent them from billing my credit card, nor did they make any attempt to contact me. Was told I could pay more for a slightly upgraded product. They agreed to cancel my order and credit my card. They do have some of the best prices out there, but the slight discount is hardly worth the time spent (and lost) when you encounter an issue such as this. Read through the other reviews, this is a recurring theme. Do yourself a favor and pay a couple extra bucks for a reputable vendor. |

The only thing I would have to say is that it took about 6 days to get a tracking number from them. I paid with paypal and even though they, directron, had the payment it still took that long. Otherwise they are a great store. I will definitely be back to deal with them again. |

THis was my first order from Directron. THey will not process an order until you have faxed them a proof of address. I did this, but 2 days later, after I called them to check on the order status since I had not received an email, they informed my they never received it. Don'e toder from Directron if timely deliverly is important. |

We called a week after placing the order wondering where the shipment was as the self-help online tracking didn't recognize our order number. Then we get an email saying we had to fax a copy of the CC front/back and the ID. Whatever. We're going back to a vendor who understands how the internet works and what customer service is. |

I had to cancel this order after 4 days of trying to communicate with their "Customer Service" department just to get a total for my order. Their practice of using a forum page to get customer service is ridiculous!! I will NEVER order anything from them again and will warn everyone that I know to avoid them at all costs!! |

(Edited March 17th by durval) Those folks don't deserve to be in business: I posted my order on Feb 28th, paid immediatelly with Paypal, and received their email confirmation. Then on March 12th (almost TWO WEEKS after posting my order) they emailed me to ask for a copy of my driver's license... I talked to the guy and explained that I was going on a trip in exactly 2 days, and asked if they could deliver it before that; he confirmed they would, if I sent them the document imediatelly, which I did. Next day, I received a tracking number for UPS GROUND, which won't reach my address for a FULL FIVE DAYS. End Result: I had to go on my trip without the item I ordered and paid for. So, they saved on their shipping and lost me as a customer for good. Beware of those guys, they will handle your order incompetently and them won't fulfill their promises about fixing their own mistakes. |

Problems... Hard to reach for help. Phone calls not returned. Gave run around. Took more than a week to solve problem. People lie, to me, put me off, were rude. They wasted my time and made it much harder than it needed to be. Had to be persistant because my calls and messages were egnored |

These people seem singularly incompetent. I placed an order for a fairly esoteric piece of equipment one night. They called me the next day and left voicemail asking for order verification (huh?). It took me 5 calls over 2 days to get through to a real human being (calling between 1-5PM Eastern) without being disconnected or directed to voicemail. Then they had the galls to asked for a fax of a bill or receipt with my shipping address (which happens to my credit card billing address) instead of asking for something reasonable like the credit card security verification code. Seriously, doing credit card address verification isn't particulary difficult and every single online vendor seem to do it without any difficulty. I prompt cancelled my order. I'll go with newegg in the future. |

I ordered a NEC monitor from Directron today, providing my office address as the shipping address. A couple hours after placing the order I received a call from someone saying they were from Directron's customer service and asking that I confirm that I placed an order with a ship to address that was different than my bill to address. I confirmed this was correct. He then asked me to give him the security code from the back of my credit card. I stated that I was not comfortable providing this information to someone who had called me, but that I would call their customer service number to provide the information. He said that if I did not give him the information right then my order would be canceled. I again explained that with all the credit card fraud that is happening these days I did not feel comfortable giving this information to someone I did not know who had called me, besides, I provided the information when I placed the order. He said that he was canceling my order then. |
