BROKEN ICE MAKER, OVEN THOSE NOT WORK, MICROWAVE IS DEAD, DISHWASHER DOESNT CLEAN, SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. NEVER EVER BUY KITCHENAID.I HAVE HAD DIFFERENT BRANDS BEFORE AND DID NOT HAVE COMPLAINTS. WE BOUGTH THESE ONES BECAUSE WE THOUGTH THE BRAND HAVE GOOD REPUTATION, BUT FRANKLY IT IS A DISASTER.

This review seems (especially with the ALL-CAPS, misspellings and run-together words) more like impatient, ill-tempered griping, sniping and venting, which is nowhere near as helpful as pointing out specific flaws, defects, or service issues, as well as good product features. Reviews should stick to a specific item, rather than simple-mindedly condemning the entire production of a manufacturer.

It's obvious to me this person carries a grudge against Kitchenaid, as opposed to objective comments about brand performance. Inappropriate posting, in my opinion.
Stay away -- makes loud noise and Whirlpool service...
Pontos Fortes: Great layout and design. It is well laid out and looks good.
Pontos Fracos: Unfortunately, the refrigerator is horribly noisy and Whirlpool claims its normal. You will never hear that in the store -- they don't turn the refrigeration on like you will in your home.
We really wanted to like this unit, but Whirlpool's poor service and the units noisy aspects would cause us to never buy it again, nor any other whirlpool product for that matter.

Pontos Fortes: Would be beautiful if the doors were smooth. Love the layout, except that we have to open both doors to get to the deli drawer. Great freezer layout.
Pontos Fracos: It freezes celery & other high-water-content vegetables & fruits. Repairman said that is normal due to how the cold air is circulated. Unable to get one without exterior dents/waves, so it looks cheap
I contacted Kitchen Aid on line regarding the doors and was offered $50 to keep my mouth shut (I did not take it). I looked at other brands in several stores and saw no dents or waviness in the doors. Mine looks like we beat it up. Not what I expected for almost $3,000.

Within two years of purchase, the compressor, the thermister and the control board have all been replaced. Kitchenaid warrantys this rather expensive product for one year only. When I contacted customer service for assistance with what truly appears to be a lemon, I was told "that's why we sell an extended warranty." BUYER BEWARE!

Great looking refrigerator / well designed and roomy for a shallow depth of 24" w/o doors / one drawback is you have to open both doors to get to deli compartment / left door is harder to close and open / love the inside water dispenser / one more minor drawback is that water dispenser doesn't have a drip cup, so water drips on deli compartment / otherwise a very satisfied customer / recommended!
