This guitar was purchased for my 9 year old who is a beginner. This guitar package from Yamaha comes with an attractive guitar, tuner, instructional CD, bag, and picks - a lot of goodies to start with. The bag keeps the dust off the guitar but does not offer protection from dropping. The electronic tuner is ok. An experienced guitarist played this guitar and recommended this product for beginners. I bought this guitar for the Yamaha name and wanted a guitar with accessories. I purchased this from Sam Ash for 150.
