Pontos Fortes: Monitors slightest movements of baby. Can adjust sensitivity to detect movement anywhere on crib mattress. Sound monitor very clear with good range.

This is a must have for all new parents!!! The Angelcare monitor has been one of the best investments we made for our new arrival. It really does give us peace of mind knowing that our baby is being monitored while we get rest and if there is a problem we'll be woke up. Otherwise we'd be up checking her numerous times throughout the night. We are sleeping better now. We use it in both her bassinet and her crib. Its easy to set up and we have no problems with it. The sound monitor is very clear and has good range too. I would definitely recommend this to any new parent.

Pontos Fracos: Extremely Overpacked in Thick Plastic. I Had to use garden shears to open packing. Other than the sharp edges opening no weakness's found.

My mother is eighty two years old. I purchased this to monitor her when she awakens during the night. I had purchased according to Consumer Reports recommendations. I am happy I researched this product as extensively as I did. Very reliable, no interference. I had bought another name brand and it stopped working after 2 months. I can even hear the cat meow when he wants out so I can get to him before he awakens my mother.

Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor

Pontos Fortes: Movement sensor and sound monitor in one unit, gives pre-alarm beep five seconds before full alarm (giving you time to get to baby before the whole house hears the alarm), easy to setup and use.

Pontos Fracos: Alarm can go off when baby moves to the end of the crib, optional tic sound feature is not very useful, and parent units make static sound when nursery unit is turned off.

We purchased the AngelCare Movement Sensor on a recommendation from a friend and we are glad we did. The monitor allowed us to get some rest without needing to constantly check on baby. Sensor gave relatively few false alarms. We have continued to use the sound monitor even after baby has outgrown the movement sensor.

Pontos Fracos: I have no complaints about this item, but I do wish it had video with it.

I bought this monitor about a month ago. My baby is 5 months old, and it has been an absolute life saver! He started rolling over to his belly to sleep, and so I was a nervoud wreck! I bought this monitor, and it really gives me peace of mind when he is sleeping. The parent's device has a volume control, and I keep mine on high. You can hear everything! Sometimes you can hear him breathing, sometimes not. We have had some false alarms, in which the alarm went off and I ran in to check on him, and he had just moved to the bottom of the crib. However, I would still rather have false alarms, than to not have it at all. I really wish I would have had this monitor right from birth! I don't think you would have false alarms if you had a newborn or baby younger than 5 months. My little boy has just starting to roll around, so he doesn't stay in one place while sleeping. I highly recommend this monitor to everyone! It is a must have especially for first time parents, who like me, worry about everything! I get way more sleep than before, because I know that the monitor is on and the alarm will sound if something happens.

i can't say enough about this product. it surpasses my expectations. being a first time mother i wanted (or needed)the extra reassurance of the movement sensor pad feature, which helpled me sleep at night(when it was possible).the movement pad can be turned off to only monitor if you want. the volume, clarity and distance of this product is top notch. my child is going on 3 now and i have bought other monitors (because i don't feel the need for the movement sensor) only to be disappointed in them. i was actually looking for another today and had to write this review in hopes it helps someone else.

Pontos Fortes: reacts to the slightest movement.extreamly sensitive.

Pontos Fracos: alarm times out. only 2 channels, we have a lot of kids in our area and they can interfere with eachother.

When I first saw this product I thought that cant be as good as it claims, well let me tell you its great, just resting my hand on the crib matress will be easily picked up.Our child stopped breathing the other night and I'm convinced that without this monitor things might have gone very bad,well done on a great product.

The Angelcare AC 201 is the base model baby monitor that features both sound and movement monitors. The sensor pad which is placed under the cribs mattress and is able to detect even the slightest baby movement, such as breathing, that typical baby monitors will not catch. There is adjustable sensitivity and an alarm will sound after 20 seconds of no movement and an optional "tic" can be played...
