People I've shown them to cannot believe that it was from a digital camera (I use a 5 mega-pixel camera) and printed at home rather than the traditional film camera and photo lab processing. The prints come out sharp. The coating on the photos is nice and clear. The coating doesn't hold fingerprints when you touch the photo, which makes handling them pretty carefree. The thumbnail feature is nice, even when you're printing from a computer. My only disappointment is that they say on the box that you can print wallet-size prints. gatorrock - (June 01, 2004) I have been using this printer in my genetics lab for over 2 months now and can say this is the best printer I've seen at a consumer level. The print quality of this machine is hard to beat. We print pictures of cell organelles to full people on this printer, using 2 megapixel microscope cameras up to the 13.89 megapixel Kodak DNS camera- the print quality never fails to impress. And when we use the high gloss photo paper, you would think we sent it to a photo lab. This printer is not without faults mind you, it does have a nasty habit of setting itself as the default printer. So you have to check that setting pretty often (but this maybe be a network issue). I recommend this processor, only if you are willing to go the extra steps to ensure better CPU cooling. heymike_s - (20-03-2010) I purchased two of these from Provantage. One of them arrived almost completely dead. The back light would come up, but there was no display. Even the OSD menu would not come up. The other one came on, but had a strong blue tint. Adjusting the OSD had no effect on the monitors display. Provantage did a wonderful job RMA-ing both of them, including cross shipping at no charge to me. (they paid shipping both ways) The two replacements both come on, both of the have the same blue tint as the other one. I guess that's just how they come. The color temp has no effect on the picture. Manually adjusting the color helped quite a bit. Adjusting the brightness and contrast does almost nothing. You'll be very disappointed in the quality, fit and finish that $500+ gets you. These monitors are garbage compared to my Samsung 245T. I wish Samsung still made them.

DBrewster - (20-03-2010) This drive has had 5 total crashes in one year where it corrupts itself, then cant be found. Seagates return policy means you have tear your laptop apart and leave it and (in my ibooks case with 50 micro screws) sitting there for weeks until you get a replacement back that will be as badly made. Other drive companies like Western Digital will send the drive out so you can replace it as you remove the old drive but Seagate ? No , Seagate make it as bad an experience as possible and threaten you over and over again that if the drive starts up they will deny you. So, you could be sitting there with your laptop torn apart and get the news they wont replace it because they don't immediately see whats wrong. Laptops are not like desktops, they are an incredible pain to disassemble , you don't want to have to do it over and over like you can with a large case desktop and I've been reading the same story over and over that this drive fails within a year. Mine didn't even last that long. All warranties are not alike and Seagates is unusable.

truckdude239 - (19-03-2010) First one died after a year. sent it in and received a replacement monitor from view-sonic which was a refurbed which Lasted a month. received the "new" monitor and finally after a year the same as the first 2. now i get to send another one in for repair and be without a monitor for a month and half. I will never buy another viewsonic
